I can cruise!
Today I cruised (I took steps with the aid of a coffee table). Video to be posted soon. Meanwhile, my first tooth is still growing. Daddy says he thinks he sees the next one about to surface right next to it.

My first tooth is on it's way!
On Friday, Daddy saw my first tooth just breaking the surface. Now it clinks against the glass when I drink! It's on the bottom left. Pictures to be posted.

My first trip on a plane!
We're invited to my unkie Nadeem's wedding in Vancouver. It was my first time on an airplane. It wasn't too bad. I only cried when we were landing. I had a dirty diaper, but they wouldn't let Mommy and Daddy get up to change me until the plane had reached the terminal. Other than that, I slept and looked at all the passengers. One girl in the back kept yelling, "Look Mommy, an infant! An infant!" I just smiled at her and laughed.

Over the last week, my hair has been flattening out. My Daddy is kinda bummed. He liked people saying that I had Daddy's hair. Daddy keeps saying things like, "They grow up so fast."

My first bath in the tub!
I took my first bath sitting in the real bath tub. Up until now, Mommy or Daddy would take me into the shower with me and bathe me in their arms. Now I sit in the water and splash while they bathe me.

I start eating baby food!
For the last 2 weeks, I've been eating rice cereal. Then I realized that Mommy and Daddy eat different colored food. I kept trying to reach for food from their plates when they ate, so today they gave me carrots. I didn't like them on their own, but they were yummy mixed with rice cereal.

I start eating rice cereal!
Today I had rice cereal for the first time. It was cool. I still like milk and formula, but it's nice to be able to eat more solid food like a grownup.

Timeline for when I was born*
7:00 am |
Daddy is leaving for work and Mommy says that she feels funny. Daddy tells me , "see you when I get home from work." |
7:45 am |
Mommy's contractions start. Mommy continues to get ready for work. |
8:50 am |
Mommy calls Daddy at work telling him that her contractions are 7 minutes apart. Daddy walks around class with a goofy smile while waiting for coverage. Daddy is excited, but thinks he has lots of time. |
9:40 am |
Daddy gets home. Mommy says, "We need to go to the hospital now." On the way to the hospital, Mommy's contractions are 3 minutes apart. |
10:10 am |
We arrive at labor and delivery. They take their time admitting us thinking that Mommy's going to have a slow labor since it's her first baby. When they check Mommy, they say that she is ready to deliver! Mommy is now too far along to even take any pain medication. They call the Doctor who is in a procedure and still has to drive over to the hospital. Mommy asks if she can push, but they keep telling her to wait for the doctor to come. They even get a substitute doctor to scrub in just in case. The doctor showed up and after about 4 pushes... |
